Spine surgery involves surgical interventions to address spine issues, including vertebrae, discs, nerves, and supportive structures. Conditions that may require spine surgery include herniated discs, spinal stenosis, fractures, deformities (such as scoliosis), tumours, and spinal cord injuries. The goals of spine surgery include decompressing nerves, stabilising the spine, correcting deformities, and relieving pain.

There are 3 types of Spine Surgeries –

Decompression Surgery- Aims to relieve pressure on spinal nerves to alleviate pain, numbness & tingling
Fixation or Spinal Fusion- Aims to permanently join two or more vertebrae to stabilise the spine and reduce pain
Arthroscopy- involves using small incisions and specialized tools to access and treat spinal conditions.
